I don’t know about all of you, but my week was crazy with a capital C-R-A …zy. In order to brighten/soothe my mood I made some delicious and ridiculously sweet treats. They are basically rice krispies treats on prozac – and they certainly do bring a smile to the face.
Do you have a Thanksgiving event to attend tomorrow? Are you worried about wowing the crowd with something yummy scrumboes? Well, worry no more. Head to the food store and purchase three things: 1 box of oreos, 1 bar of melting chocolate, and one stick of Philadelphia cream cheese.
DISCLAIMER: Warning, in order to be completely honest, this post perhaps should be called ‘How not to make …’ I had quite a bit of trouble with these so-called simple little suckers. Normally, my husband is around to assist when I attempt to make myself at home in his kitchen but for this recipe I was alone. I was told by the recipe – and the friend who gave it to me – that this was ‘easy’. Turns out – not easy for Carolann. Messy, messy, messy … but yummy scrumboes. And if you read this at least you will learn from my mistakes.
It’s autumn – my favorite time of year. And once autumn hits I crave pumpkin by the gallon. Pumpkin scones, coffee, pie, cookies, and cake … yum!

Sometimes, after an especially rough/terrific day I go into the food store and treat myself to a box of Entenmann’s Madeleines. And this may sound cheap, but I am always so aggravated to spend $5.99 for 1 box and thus thought ‘Hey, you can bake them yourself. I did a little google search, picked up a recipe here, put on my apron, and thought ‘viva la france!’ {However; before I go any further, I do want you to know – Madeleines are not an easy bake task. Do you hear me, not easy, friends.}

TRUTH: I don’t really enjoy chocolate. I do love chocolate of the vanilla variety, but I am told again & again by friends & foes, white chocolate is basically sugar & not cacao.But – this cake is the exception …
