I enjoyed every little second of this film. Rachel was emotional and charming – with an adorable sense of style that grew and enhanced as the character did throughout the tale. Diane was hilarious – she danced/rapped with Fifty Cent, pirouetted in a tutu with children, and open-mouth kissed a frog. And Harrison – well his character spurted out this little gem, ’You know what I’ve noticed, people only say “lighten up” when they’re gonna stick their fist up your ass’ … and numerous other fantastically funny tidbits.

Holiday break is quickly approaching for many – so if you are looking to cuddle up with some cocoa, your pug, and a feel-good flick, Rachel’s ‘Morning glory’ will not disappoint. PS> ‘Morning Glory’ is streaming on Netflix … it couldn’t be easier to watch.

STEP 2: Search through your closet. Believe me, there are some gems to be found. Don’t believe me do you? I brought proof all ye of little faith. These lovely ladies below rifled through their closets, used a little imagination, and created some really fabulous homemade costumes that are both affordably chic and insanely unskanky. I think my favorite is Jessica’s ‘Rosie the Riveter’, although Breanne’s ‘Where the Wild Things Are’ getup comes in a very very very close second.

STEP 3: Decide on a look, and don’t worry – you’ll be able to pull it off … just dig deep and find some attitude. Then find a little niece, or nephew {or goddaughter perhaps}, tag along on their Halloween night festivities and score yourself some yummies. I personally am hoping for some 3 musketeers, kit-kats, and nerds. Happy Halloween!

Over the past several weeks I have heard gentle rumblings about this French line called Maje. And although I ordinarily lean towards more loud and boisterous designs, I must say I absolutely love every single piece of this entire collection. I love the quiet sophistication, and the astounding possibilities. These clothes are all so completely and absolutely interchangeable with each other, and could honestly be in fashion for my grandchildren’s grandchildren. I guess that really is just a part of the French fashion flair. And I guess I might need to consider investing in a few of these key pieces. I don’t know about you, but my first purchase would be that amazing red mini dress with those epic bell sleeves. Lust, love, need.

‘How to Marry a Millionaire’ has to be one of my all-time favorite movies. I first saw the movie in tenth grade while on a school trip to South Carolina. I remember all my friends went out for the evening but I stayed in the hotel with a fever. As I sat there, homesick and teenager lonely, I found this lovely little film on tv … in black and white. Since then I have probably viewed the film 40 or 50 times. I can even stream this straight from netflix now, which means I am sure to watch it more and more – something that may just drive my poor husband bonkers. But I just can’t help it! I love the fashion, the silliness and comedic timing of the ladies, the shots of old New York and the old Hollywood glamour that just can’t be found in movies now. Next raining Sunday, give this flick a try. You will love it.
