I know what you are thinking … ‘two posts in one day! Where does this dame find the time?’ Well, I was just so into the latest runway fashions that I had to share one more. However, I am doing this post un poquito different, because in DKNY’s latest collection there are truly truly truly some pieces I love {the hats most especially!} … and then some I uber hate {the loud, unwearable, unchic, vomit-inducing patterns – yes, I hate them}.

DKNY SUCCESSES: The hats, the bright + color-blocked combos, the chunky strap shoes … win.

DKNY MISSES: Those patterns! Ghastly. Donna, Donna, Donna … what were you smoking during these fabric picks?

Strawberry-Trix Rice Krispies Treats

I don't know about all of you, but my week was crazy with a capital C-R-A ...zy. In order to brighten/soothe my mood I made some delicious and ridiculously sweet treats. They are basically rice krispies treats on prozac - and they certainly do bring a smile to the face.

I mixed strawberry heart marshmallows, normal white mini-mallows, butter, rice krispies cereal and trix cereal. In order to make these extra marshmallowy-good I added some whole mini-mallows near the end of the mix process and not into the hot saucepan - this way those babies stayed whole and extra special like a little surprise bag of gold.

Don't they just look like a festive, happy Friday??!? They make me feel happy! Speaking of happy - happy birthday to one of the BEST FRIENDS a girl could ever ask for. Jennie, you are a friend among gods, or a god among friends - however you say it.

WONDERPUG RATING: 4 Stars. I think they are amazing with an amazing color and flair. However, M thinks they are too sweet and a dish of diabetes ready to happen - which in fact they kind of are - so they lost one Wonderpug star for that petite negative.

I have to say my favorite is the first look – the lacy tank, pink shorts and crop poncho. True, it is totally not sensible, but then I am not sensible. And the details are exquisite – the little gloves, cross belt and strappy x x shoes – I mean this just says, ‘Wear me Carolann. Wear me.’ And I say, ‘Yes! Oh yes!’

White-Collar Worker

I recently started a new job. And to be honest the hardest aspect of my job change has been trying to figure out the new dress code.

Dress code = business casual

Business casual = the most obsure definition on the planet

I have been trying to gauge looks based on others, but I have been confronted with suits versus jeans/dirty t’s. Not to mention I sit in front of a screen 99.3% of my day and rarely interract with someone face-to-face. It is the digital, modern world people … meetings are held over the computer or phone … so how do you dress for a phone conference?

MON: dress pants, simple white top, green tank, yellow flats

TUES: dress pants, t-shirt, black wrap, B&W flats

WEDS: grey wrap cardi, dress pants, sparkle sandles

THURS: printed dress, black leggings, black cardi, yellow flats

FRI: dress-down jeans, yellow tank, grey sweater, yellow flats

Honestly, the only day I truly felt like myself was on Friday. And I think you can even see that fact in my face. In addition, I realize that I need to purchase new flats and accept that my badge ruins any look.

So, my dear friends in cyberspace, I leave this up to you … pass or fail on the business casual attire?
