I love objects that are special, unique and handmade with care. And my new friend, Bridget of All That We Are, likes to take care with her unique creations and really put a little bit of herself in all her jewelry:
‘Clay is so elemental – simply mud that is transformed into something functional or something beautiful (or both!). What strikes me, and what I am looking for when I sit down to work/design, is simplicity. The elemental shapes, and the possibilities that different glaze and glass combinations will have on those shapes. I love the square on rectangle, circle on square and when you add in the infinite possibilities of glaze and the sparkling qualities of glass – there’s no end to the exploration. In these delicate combinations I find tranquility and an understated beauty that makes you feel good.’
